ALDI FATHER’S DAY PITCH

As a team, we were tasked with coming up with a concept for Aldi for Father’s Day. This was to make shoppers aware of the ‘‘Best of Scotland’’ range as well as helping advertise for the Father’s Day celebration.

My concept consisted of taking imagery of fathers of all ages and their children and matching them to the products on offer. The produce offered in the Scottish range at Aldi is of premium quality. This gave me the idea to create benefit headlines such as ‘‘celebrating the best of the best’’ with regards to beef and ‘‘a one of a kind beer for a one of a kind man’’ giving a nod to the specialist beers which Aldi offer.

The idea was to convey nothing but the best for our fathers who we love so dearly and to treat them to the best food options on offer in the store. This was paired with the Scottish Saltire to aid with the layout of the imagery and consequently aided the imagery areas to be housed.

These ads were taken and mocked up within the in10 magazine along with digital display advertising to present to Aldi and show them the advertising opportunities they could have within DC Thomson’s products.
